OK, so it ain't the NBA!

Here's a picture [and hopefully a video] of my little sweetheart playing basketball. This child has come a LONG way in coordination recently. Although he's not being actively recruited by any major colleges, he sure is making his mom & dad proud!

It's actually considerable progress that he will even dribble the ball and try to shoot this year. He has always just passed the ball to someone else right away. It's good to see his self-confidence improving, even if the physical skills haven't quite developed yet!

David is a wonderful child. He's truly the best thing to come around since they put pockets in pants! Hope you enjoyed my 'Mom-bragging' moment!!

  1. Hi Char,
This is my first visit to your blog. I knew immediately I would be returning! Therefore, I have become a Follower. I am a year or so older than you and have three precious babies in heaven, but none here with me. I so understand your pride in David and your thankfulness for the blessing of having him in your life. I know I am going to love hearing all about his life and your experiences in raising him. BTW, congratulations on getting the scarf!! That is how I found your blog. I am continually amazed at how the Lord keeps moving us from blessing to blessing when we seek Him. Looking forward to getting to know you better. Oh, and I'm in TN...Middleton, TN in the southwestern area of the state. Happy Friday!

  2. So what Char neglected to share in her blog is that she was once quite the accomplished basketball player! Recruited to play at Edinboro University (but for reasons unknown, didn't play there.) She was the rebound queen - number 41! Somewhere I still have a T-shirt that she gave me in college with her number on it! Way to go David! Following in Mom's footsteps!

  3. Dear Char,
You don't know how happy I was to see that package in your hands and that scarf wrapped around David's neck!
After all, I had mailed that scarf on Feb. 23.
OH I had nightmares that I had done something wrong with the address and that the scarf would be ending up in Timbuktu.
Can't wait to join you on your adventure!...Love Terry
